The propeller of a German bomber aircraft which was shot down by the legendary Wing Commander Guy Gibson has sold for over £11,000.<br />
<br />
It was attached to a Heinkel He III the Dambusters hero, in a Beaufighter, downed over Skegness, Lincs, in March 1941.<br />
<br />
The three blade propeller, with an overall height of 12ft and 9ft wide blades, is mounted on a steel stand.
