At 6ft 9in tall, dressed all in black, with a big beard and wearing wayfarer shades, Andy Wrintmore does not look like your typical mayor.<br />

But the 29-year-old hardcore punk rock drummer is a big hit with old and young constituents in his hometown of Frome, Somerset.<br />

Andy, a member of punk band SickOnes, was elected to the town council by a landslide vote in 2019 and chosen to become the town's mayor in May this year.<br />

He has earned the moniker the 'punk rock mayor of Frome' and has even been interviewed by Kerrang magazine about his new career - cutting ribbons and meeting local community groups.
