A British schoolboy has broken the junior world record for catching the biggest ever carp fish.

Callum Pettit, 11, snared the colossol common carp that weighed a whopping 96lbs - just 4lbs lighter than him.

Just a handful of adult anglers around the world have caught a bigger common carp, with the world record being 101lbs 6ozs.

Callum's record fish is almost double his dad Stuart's personal best catch in 30 years of fishing.
