Yours for £400,000...

Britain's most expensive parking place has gone on sale for an astonishing £400,000 - or nearly 2.5 times the average UK house price.

The exclusive underground parking space, which can can fit two cars, also costs 15 times the average UK salary (26,500 pounds).

Situated near the Royal Albert Hall in Kensington, London, it's in the same car park as a space which went on sale just ten months ago.

However, the massive price tag for a space in the car park has increased by 31 per cent in that time after that went on sale for £275,000.

The freehold is described as a "large secure underground parking space ideally situated for an Albert Court or Albert Hall Mansions resident".

Cars parked in the lit underground car park are also protected by double doors which can be padlocked by the owner.

For the same amount of money, you could afford to park your car just 880 yards away at the nearest NCP car park for 31 years - or 35.10 pounds a day.
