Britain's most notorious inmate Charles Bronson is selling off some of his artwork after changing his surname to Salvador in honour of his favourite painter.

Violent Bronson, 61, has become a talented artist during his 40 years in prison, 36 of which have been spent in solitary confinement.

Last month Bronson changed his name by deed poll to try to shake off his hard man reputation following his most recent conviction for assaulting a prison governor.

During his time behind bars he has sent numerous works of art to his family in Luton, Beds, who have decided to sell them off as part of Bronson's transformation.

Included in the sale is the last work of art he did before changing his name as well as first two drawings he did as his new persona Charles Salvador.

The artwork is among 200 lots belonging to Bronson being sold at JP Humbert auctioneers in Towcester, Northhants on October 9.
