A remarkable note by Princess Diana in which she struggles to conceal her excitement after meeting the 'love of her life' Hasnat Khan has come to light.
The Princess of Wales first met dashing heart surgeon Dr Khan on August 27, 1995, while visiting a friend at the Royal Brompton Hospital in London.
Her note is dated three weeks later and in it she apologises to a friend for cancelling a lunch appointment because she was spending time with Dr Khan.
