A postcard sent by a Royal Navy officer from South America has reached its recipient 30 years later.
Neil Crocker sent it during a stop-off at Chile in 1991 while returning from the Falkland Island onboard HMS Cumberland.
He sent it to his future father-in-law to 'make a good impression' before asking for his daughter's hand in marriage.
