An old football that was signed by the tragic 'Busby Babes' soccer team two rounds before eight of them died in the Munich disaster has come to light 58 years later.

The leather ball was taken by Manchester United manager Sir Matt Busby into the dressing room of lowly Shamrock Rovers after the English club had thrashed them in the first round of the European Cup in 1957.

As well as the legendary manager, 15 players put their name to the ball including Bobby Charlton, Duncan Edwards, David Pegg, Jackie Blanchflower and Albert Scanlon.
It is now being sold at auction for £6,000.
