A porcelain planter which was used as a pot in a family home for years has sold for a stunning £125,000.
The hexagonal vessel was tipped to fetch just £500 when it went under the hammer but a bidding war caused the price to soar.
The 2ft jardiniere beautifully depicts scenes of the Eight Daoist Immortals and has the mark for the Kangxi Emperor who ruled from 1662 to 1720.
