An extravagant list of food, booze and luxury items rock band Queen demanded while on their 1978 tour today sold for over £1,000.<br />

The rider included Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor amd John Deacon each having a chauffeured-driven limo and individual dressing rooms furnished with comfy sofas, rugs, full-length mirrors and long-stemmed carnation flowers.<br />

The huge order of food and drink they expected to be waiting for them in their dressing rooms included crates of cold beer, 1ltr of Jim Beam scotch, 1ltr of Southern Comfort, 4 bottles of imported red wine, 4 bottles of Liebraumilch and 6ltrs of freshly squeezed orange juice.
