East meets West...
An new exhibition of Chinese dissident artist Ai Weiwei opened yesterday in the unlikely surroundings of that most British of country estates, Blenheim Palace in rural Oxfordshire.
Centrepeice of the provocative exhibition, in the pilastered grandeur of the entrance hall to the Palace, is a colossal 9 tiered chandelier that will makes a striking first impresssion on the visitor's - many of whom ironically will be from China.
Ai Weiwei has had to plan the show from his home in China as the authorities there will still not let him leave the country.
