Dame Hilary Mantel is selling her writing desk on which she penned Wolf Hall to raise funds for charity.
The custom-made pine pedestal desk has been well used at the British author's home in Budleigh Salterton, Devon, since 1994.
In that time, she has written Wolf Hall, a fictionalised biography of Thomas Cromwell which was turned into a BBC TV series, as well as Bring Up the Bodies and The Mirror and the Light.
