A vintage motorcycle has gone under the hammer for a jaw-dropping £265,000 - nearly 70 years after it was dismantled and sold for just £20.
The Brough Superior SS100 has been in bits since 1951 when it was purchased as a restoration project by it's last owner, a UK-based enthusiast.
The bike lover paid just £22.10s. for the Brough, even though it was already fully dismantled.
Despite his best intentions, the planned work was never completed and now, following the owner's death in 2011, it has been sold by his family.
