A plaque has been erected in memory of a much-loved cat described as a 'pillar of the community'.

Dave the cat - also known as DP or Dysfunctional Puss due to his missing tail - enchanted customers at a convenience store in Bournemouth, Dorset for 13 years.

The ginger tabby, who lived in a flat opposite, crossed the road to reach the One Stop in Southbourne where he regularly napped on the counter.
