To buy or not to buy...

A historic former coaching inn where William Shakespeare was known to stay is on the market for £1.5m.

According to legend, the Bard stayed at The Ship, a 16th century coaching inn, multiple times when travelling between Stratford Upon Avon and London.

He is even said to have been inspired by people he met at the inn for characters in Much Ado About Nothing and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The Grade II* Listed property is now called Shakespeare House in honour of its famous visitor and a private seven-bedroom home.
