Jigsaw puzzle - VW camper in hundreds of pieces could be yours for...for £20,000!
Despite looking ready for the scrapheap, and even though the buyer will have to piece it together like a jigsaw, when fully restored the iconic vehicle could be worth £100,000.
The barn-find 1960 Type 2 split-screen 23-window Samba has been languishing in a barn for the last 20 years after its owner hauled it from the road, took it apart and stored it in pieces.
Now being offered at auction, it represents the ultimate restoration project for a petrol head with time on their hands, although it will require tens of thousands of pounds worth of work before it's back to its former glory.
The camper will be sold by Tennants Auctioneers in Leyburn, North Yorks, on March 25.
