A Grade I listed manor that inspired author Thomas Hardy is on the market for £3.75m.
Poxwell Manor, which is close to Hardy's hometown in Dorset, was the inspiration for Oxwell Hall in his 1880 novel The Trumpet-Major.
The grand property was also visited by King George III a number of times when he was in nearby Weymouth inspecting navy fleets.
