One man's vast collection of pipes and smoking paraphernalia has sold at auction for an eye-watering £63,000.<br />

Trevor Barton spent more than 50 years bringing the enormous group together having started collecting after leaving the military in 1947.<br />
<br />
He amassed hundreds of different designs before his death in 2008, at which time the collection passed into the ownership of his family.<br />
<br />
Since then they have sold a few of the pipes but have now held an enormous sale to part with the entire ensemble.
