Pictured: An eclectic array of Continental figures and other unusual antiques sold for thousands of pounds with a British auction house.
The sale featured a pair of Italian late 19th century walnut huntsmen figures which sold for £26,000 (pictured left), while an early 20th century ventriloquist's dummy (bottom right) in a sailor's costume which sold for £1300
Other items that went under the hammer with auctioneers Woolley & Wallis, of Salisbury, Wilts, were the Sir Michael Codron Collection of Lions, consisting of needlework, pottery and brass. A mirror once owned by musician George Formby (pictured: right) also sold.
