A house in the heart of an artistic enclave, whose studio interiors featured in works by iconic artist David Hockney has gone on sale for £4.25m.

The house is in a Grade II Listed enclave in Kensington, London, neighbouring studios used by Hockney and also home to flamboyant dancer Isadora Duncan.

The three-bedroom home is in keeping with the other homes and studios in the complex, which were built during the Victoria era between 1890 and 1891, specifically for artists to work in.

The studios were used by many notable artists in the late 19th century, who were drawn to the double-height buildings with their large, north-lit windows which capture natural light for painting.
