Pandemonium at Longleat...

Keepers at a British safari park are celebrating after a rare red panda cub was born following an international lonely hearts ad to find a mate for their male.

Staff at Longleat Safari Park in Wiltshire were desperate to find a partner for male Ajenda as part of a a breeding programme to save the endangered species.

Rufina, a female red panda, arrived at the park early last year and the pair have now delighted keepers by having a baby, the first ever born there.
The newborn doesn't have a name yet, and staff haven't been able to get close enough to it to determine its sex.
