A replica of the land speed record Blue Bird race car - that can go faster than the original - is expected to race away at auction for £300,000.

The motor is an homage to the illustrious Napier motor that legendary motorist Malcolm Campbell drove at a record 196mph in 1927.

Although a reproduction the vehicle is highly original - modeled around the same brilliant engine that was inside Campbell's famous motorcar.

Builder and owner Lorne Jacobs has decided to cash in on his incredible creation by consigning it for auction with Bonhams on September 2.
