More than 50 firefighters battled to extinguish a huge blaze at the idyllic thatched holiday cottage in Affpuddle.<br />

Peony Cottage, in the picturesque village of Affpuddle in Dorset, caught fire at around 7.20pm last night (Thurs).<br />

The five-bed property had been accommodating two families, thought to be on holiday from America, although no one was hurt in the fire.

Peony Cottage, in the picturesque village of Affpuddle in Dorset, caught fire at around 7.20pm last night (Thurs).
