The perfect invention for mid summer picnic's - The edible spoon that is a tasty treat as well as saving on the washing up.
Prudent pensioner Roy Webb(77) came up with the novel idea after eating canapes served on small spoons at a party.
He set about designing an edible product that could hold many picnic favourites, such as tomatoes, houmous, and strawberries.
He made a spoon shaped cutter and used it to punch out a spoon shape from thick bread, pastry or pizza base.
The shapes are then placed onto metal spoon moulds and baked in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes until they were golden brown.
The kits are now flying of the internet from Roys new website at ediblespoons.co.uk.
