A naked woman is transformed into a curvaceous cello using nothing but paint and clever photography.

The creation is the work of bodypainter Anke Catesby who spent three hours painstakingly turning her model into the musical instrument.

Anke, from Brisbane, Australia, convinced friends Tara Mills and Jo Sparrow to strip off to make her cello creation after spotting the similarity between the instrument and a woman's body while looking at black and white nude photos.

The stunning result uses the curves of Tara's back to create the shape of the instrument while Jo's hands are seen 'playing' the instrument.
