Flying Officer Robert Field's Bristol Beaufighter bomber escaped unscathed from the unsuccessful RAF attack on German shipping sheltering in a Norwegian fjord in February 1945.<br />

Ten RAF planes were destroyed in the sortie resulting in the deaths of 14 crew. Four more were taken Prisoner of War having baled out. <br />

His logbook has now been made available for sale at Bosleys auctionners for £400.
