Residents of a sleepy rural village have opened a library in their old phone box. The iconic red BT kiosk in Kington Magna near Gillingham, Dorset, was bought by the parish council for only a £1 and is thought to be the country's smallest library. After stripping it of it's phone the village's 400 residents donated books. The former phone box now houses a collection of 300 books of all genres crammed onto its 16 shelves and is open 24 hours a day.
