A unique Mercedes 'Gullwing' sports car that has tartan seats has sold for a world record price of £5.8m.
The 1955 Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing gets its name from its flamboyant doors that, when both fully opened, make the motor look like a seagull.
They were among the most desirable cars of the day with just 1,400 made between 1954 and 1963.
