Fans of TV sitcom Last of the Summer Wine are booking out the iconic cottage where unlikely sex symbol Nora Batty lived after it has been turned into a holiday let.

The exterior of the terraced house in Holmfirth, West Yorks, featured in dozens of episodes of the much-loved BBC show.

Yorkshire battleaxe Nora Batty - played by the late actress Kathy Staff - was more often than not filmed sweeping the steps of the two bedroom cottage and chasing off the unwanted attentions of Bill Owen's character Compo.
In real life the property - 28 Huddersfield Road - is owned by Richard and Loretta Skelton who run it as a successful self-catering holiday home.
