Suzy Beksy pictured with the German twin-funnel ocean liner Columbus, which was handed over to the British government and then sold to the White Star Line as part of the reparations in 1920
Three exquisite rare display models of German ocean liners have sold with a British auction house for over £16,000.
The models, which were built between 1912 and 1920, went under the hammer with Woolley & Wallis, of Salisbury, Wilts.
One shows the German twin-funnel ocean liner Columbus, which was built around the same time as the Titanic.
The tin-plate 39ins model, which was made by the German toy firm Marklin, is incredibly detailed, with features including planked decks with lifeboats.
It also lights up and would have been displayed at travel shows during the glamorous age of sea travel.
