Volunteers who serve homeless people with hot meals cooked in their own homes have been shut down by council bureaucrats.
The group of public-spirited cooks were told they had to have a food hygiene certificate before they could hand out the free food to starving people.
They claim they were even threatened with prosecution by a police officer if they didn't do as they were told.
The service has been run by Luke Bird and Rebecca Hobby every Monday and Friday lunchtime for the last four years in Dorchester, Dorset, with no complaints.
