An amateur historian has travelled the length and breadth of Britain to document the top secret locations which helped Britain to win the Second World War.
While Bletchley Park and Churchill's War Rooms are celebrated visitor attractions, many other sites which also played a crucial role in the war effort are barely known of.
In some cases, they have been left untouched since the end of the conflict in 1945.
Former journalist Colin Philpott highlights over 150 forgotten sites which were requisitioned for war-time use in his new book, Secret Wartime Britain.
