A luxurious italian car, one of five given as a marketing ploy to each member of Frank Sinatra's famous Rat Pack in the early 1960's is coming up for auction...and its value has rocketed up to £300,000.
Peter Lawford - the only Briton in the illustrious acting supergroup - supposedly took delivery of the one shown here alongside fellow members Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jnr.
The rare custom motors were provided to the Ocean's 11 stars by little-known Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Ghia as a marketing stunt.
The motor, worth an estimated £300,000, will be sold by a private collector through auctioneer RM Sotheby's in Monterey, California, on August 18.
