Eton College has been accused of greed and hypocrisy over controversial plans to sell off some of its lands so 3,000 homes can be built.

The prestigious boarding school in Windsor, Berks, owns a large swathe of unspoilt countryside in the hamlet of East Chiltington, East Sussex.

The rural spot is on the edge of the South Downs National Park.
