Council officials have been accused of hypocrisy after they felled trees at a beauty spot just yards from the home of a man fined £80,000 for killing one in his garden.<br />
<br />
The local authority in Poole, Dorset, came down heavily on Robert Page after he had a 65ft mature tree chopped down because it was blocking his light.<br />
<br />
The 71-year-old was hit with the massive fine for breaching a Tree Preservation Order that had been placed on the specimen.<br />
<br />
He is now said by neighbours to be livid after observing the same council axe several Holm Oak trees at a viewpoint overlooking Poole Harbour.
