An exquisite collection of intricate treasures from Renaissance Europe have gone on display at Horace Walpole's gothic home.
The items on display, which are hundreds of years old, celebrate the aristocratic habit of collecting valuable objects to create Cabinets of Curiosities.
They include elaborate valuables made from coconuts and rock crystal
The exhibition is being held at Strawberry Hill House, a Gothic Revival villa in Twickenham, London, rebuilt by writer Walpole from 1749.
