A stunning former water mill on its own island for sale for £2m is the perfect place to escape the daily grind.

The nearly 200-year-old mill was still producing bread up until the 1950s and still has the original watermill wheels and gears in place.

The Grade II Listed property is immersed in nature as it sits on an island in the River Wreake and is accessible by a bridge.

Rearsby Mill, just outside the village of Ratcliffe-on-the-Wreake, Leics, was built in 1825, although there is mention of an earlier mill there dating back to the Domesday Book.
