Pictured: Brendan Rawlings with one of his painted Highland Cow sculpture's made entirely of driftwood

A self-taught artist is using driftwood and fallen bits of trees to create stunning eco-friendly sculptures worth thousands of pounds.

Brendan Rawlings trawls the coastline near his home for bits of wood washed ashore or broken off in storms.

He then spends up to two months transforming the dead wood into incredible angels, dancers and an array of animals.

Brendan, who lives in Woodbury, Devon, starts his carving with chainsaws and works down to using a small electric multi-tool to finish the finer details.
