Trophies won by the inventor of one of World War One's most iconic aircraft are expected to sell for £4,000 after being salvaged from a skip.
Tommy Sopwith designed the Sopwith Camel single-seat fighter biplane in 1912.
They were introduced on the Western Front five years later and credited with downing 1,294 enemy aircraft, more than any other Allied fighter of World War One.
The mementos had been dumped at a refuse tip in the south of England a few years ago and would have been destroyed.
Luckily the vendor picked them up as they thought they looked interesting, spotting a presentation plaque with Sopwith's name on it.
