Conservationists at the National Trust have been left red-faced after losing control of a controlled burn that destroyed 22 acres of heathland.
Rangers were carrying out work to manage vegetation on Holt Heath near Wimborne, Dorset, when the wind caught the flames.
The fire quickly spread out of control and engulfed the protected heathland.
