Britain's first ever tiddler fishing championships with a top prize for the smallest catch has been hailed a big success.

The 'Tiddler Fest' saw anglers travel far and wide to spend six hours on a riverbank targeting tiny fish like stickleback, gudgeon, ruffe and juvenile roach.
The 14 fishermen gathered along the banks of the Kennet and Avon canal in Devizes, Wilts, and came from as far as Nottingham, Sussex, and Exeter.
