The family of a Prisoner of War who drew for his captured comrades are being inundated with his lost art work 70 years later after issuing an appeal to find it.
Nearly 60 poignant paintings by the late Des Bettany have been found by the relatives of those who he served alongside in World War Two.
The talented artist-turned-soldier spent three years in a Japanese PoW camp and created amusing cartoons which he often gave away to help keep up the morale of the men.
His son Keith, 62, launched a website to help uncover his father's artistic legacy and has been astonished by the response from the families of PoWs around the world.
