The only remaining prototype for the original Play Station that was developed in tandem by Nintendo and Sony has emerged for sale for more than £100,000.<br />

The ground-breaking console is believed to be the only surviving example of 200 pre-production models made by the two gaming giants that are now fierce competitors.<br />

The companies had been working together on the device in the early 1990s before Nintendo pulled out of the venture at the last minute.
