The incredibly rare sighting of a swordfish in British waters has been caught on camera.

The majestic 10ft long fish - famed for its long pointed bill - was spotted in the sea four miles off the Isle of Man in the Irish Sea.

Swordfish are typically found in the more tropical waters of the mid-Atlantic, Pacific and the Mediterranean.

It is believed that there have been only five swordfish sightings ever in UK waters.
