Poudbury in Dorset is Prince Charles flagship building project that has been ongoing for over 20 years.

Startling pictures show how plastic cable ties have been used by birds to make a nest in Prince Charles' model village of Poundbury.

A pair of adult pigeons picked up dozens of the black strips and weaved them among twigs and sticks to make the nest.

It was spotted by a local resident inside the hopper of a downpipe on the side of the block of flats in Poundbury, near Dorchester, Dorset.
