Pictured: Sculptor Moira Purver working on the maquette of Trevor.
A maquette has been made of an unsung British hero who helped save hundreds of children destined for Nazi concentration camps.
Trevor Chadwick, nicknamed the 'Purbeck Schindler', assisted Sir Nicholas Winton in rescuing 669 Jewish children from Czechoslovakia before World War Two.
His brave actions, which saw him hoodwink Nazi officers in Prague, were only revealed over 50 years after the war.
Sculptor Moira Purver has made a poignant 18.5ins clay model of Trevor holding one child's hand and cradling a younger child in his arms.
The maquette will be scaled up into a life-size bronze statue which will go on display in his home town of Swanage, Dorset.
