The family of a Prisoner of War who drew for his captured comrades are being inundated with his lost art work 70 years later after issuing an appeal to find it.<br />

Nearly 60 poignant paintings by the late Des Bettany have been found by the relatives of those who he served alongside in World War Two.<br />

The talented artist-turned-soldier spent three years in a Japanese PoW camp and created amusing cartoons which he often gave away to help keep up the morale of the men.<br />

His son Keith, 62, launched a website to help uncover his father's artistic legacy and has been astonished by the response from the families of PoWs around the world.
