The MyChai with a brewed cup of tea.

Tea lovers will delight at this nifty gadget which transforms a mug of cold water into a perfect cuppa.

The device heats the water to the optimum temperature for brewing then automatically reveals a tea bag-like compartment containing fresh tea leaves.

Because it is so small it can be carried in handbags, rucksacks or even trouser pockets, meaning the user can enjoy a steaming cup of tea wherever they are.

Mychai is the brainchild of Indian industrial design student Uttara Ghodke, 22, who has spent the last two years developing it.
