A baby red deer that was abandoned by its mother is being hand-reared by a young lawyer - the second deer she has saved from certain death.

Eleanor Hervey-Bathurst stepped in and rescued the newborn, that she has named Eliza, as she was close to death having not been fed for 24 hours.

She bottle-fed the calf round the clock, despite a busy job in London, and the youngster is now flourishing.
She has joined fallow deer and 'big brother' Inchy who Eleanor rescued several years ago and then raised.
